Bandai has come up with something really special for Mazinger Z’s 40th anniversary!
Unveiled today at a special press conference at the 2012 Tokyo Toy Show is this all new DX Soul of Chogokin Mazinger Z. Not only is it twelve inches tall, but it’s also packed with a host of special features and accessories, never before included in a Soul of Chogokin release.
The internal, fully articulated skeletal structure is made of die-cast, with the outer “armor components” constructed of PVC and ABS plastic. All the joints feature improved articulation and design elements, such as functioning hydraulic plungers in the ankles. How’s that for cool design?
The outer armor pieces can be removed and stored in the specially designed hanger bay, which also includes scaled, heavy equipment cranes, and light up features.
The figure also features light up elements in the eyes and chest piece, as well as a multitude of sound effects, all activated using the included wireless remote. No more unsightly buttons cluttering up the design…amazing!
Look for this ultimate Mazinger to ship in December for $460.00. If you would like to sneak a peek before that, head on down to this years Comic Con in San Diego, where it will be on display at the Bluefin booth.
